Android Nougat release date: when you'll get it and everything you need to know

Update: New Android Nougat features are coming to more phones with the launch of Android 7.1 and the Android 7.1.1 update.
Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Nougat update was scheduled to begin on January 17, but it now seems the rollout was stopped because of bugs.
The Nexus 6 is now getting the upgrade to Android 7.1.1 despite a slight delay. Honor has also confirmed it will update the Honor 8, a phone which only just missed Android 7 software when it came out, by the end of February 2017.
LG G5 is the latest with the software update, along with Moto Z and Moto Z Force and the budget-friendly Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices. We're also seeing Nougat starting to land on the Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact.
Lastly, good news for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners, as the software is finally starting to roll out.
When does your phone get the Android Nougat update? Here's everything we know about the latest version of Android.
Android Nougat is Google's big refresh of its phone and tablet operating system – an OS that's been so thoroughly refined that the company is now more than halfway through the alphabet with names, at letter 14 of 26.
It won't stop at Android 7.0, either. Android 7.1 launched on Nexus devices in October and Android 7.1.1 came to Google phones and tablets on December 5, while a possible Android O is now being discussed ahead of 2017.
To prepare you for the Nougat updates, here's everything we know about the new Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 Nougat release date and features.
