Ahead of its January 23rd launch, the Vivo V5 Plus has become official along with a lower specification version of the same dubbed the Vivo V5 Lite. The smartphone was spotted on the website of a Malaysian retailer with specifications and pictures in tow.
The Chinese multinational technology company had already sent out press invites in India for the launch event on January 23. The smartphone is targeted at themid-range segment , which competes with other devices like Gionee S6s and Oppo F1s.

The Vivo V5 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and runs on the 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC stacked with 4GB of RAM.
