Gionee’s Marathon M5 With 6,000 mAh battery launched in India

Plenty of Chinese smartphone brands are vying a market share in India. Gionee was one of the brands to have entered the market early and create a name for itself. Today, the company has added Marathon M5 to their portfolio.

Gionee Marathon M5 comes a 6,000mAh battery and is priced at Rs 17,999. The phone will retail exclusively via Flipkart. It is noteworthy that this is the second Gionee smartphone after Elife E8 to be retailed online first.

The specifications of Gionee Marathon M5 include a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen, dual-SIM connectivity, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 3 GB RAM and 32GB storage space. The internal storage can be topped by up to 128GB via microSD card. Out of the box, Marathon M runs on Android 5.1.

For camera, it has a 13 megapixels rear camera and 5 MP one on the front. Talking more about the battery, Gionee claims that the Marathon M5 delivers standby time of up to 62 hours even with 5 per cent battery remaining. Moreover, Gionee claims the M5 is capable of reverse charging.
