Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro leaks out in live images showing off a premium gold variant

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to be revealed on the 24 of November as a teaser hinted not too long ago. Well, as we lead up to the official release of the device, the handset has managed to make an appearance in a leak, giving us a very good glimpse of the sides as well as the back portion of the device.

There's not much we learn here apart from the fact that the Redmi Note 2 Pro will pack a slender exterior and the usual array of ports (SIM card tray, micro USB etc) and buttons such as power key and the standard volume rocker. Strangely, the leak doesn't show us the front portion of the handset, so that still remains a mystery.

The back has a fingerprint scanner, something which previous leaks had revealed to us well in advance. By the looks of it, we think that the Redmi Note 2 Pro could be a mid-ranger with the attributes of a flagship.

The handset could be a viable competitor to the OnePlus 2 smartphone which is currently retailing for Rs 24,999 in India. It has been said that the Redmi Note 2 Pro could be priced somewhere close to 1,099 CNY or Rs 11,400 at launch.

Rumored specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro:

· 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) display
· 13MP rear camera
· 5MP front camera
· Octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 64-bit SoC
· 2/3GB of RAM
· 16GB of internal storage
· Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI
