Upgraded YU Yuphoria spotted on a benchmark database with a decent hardware

The Micromax YU Yuphoria YU6000 handset has just been spotted on benchmark database GFXBench, giving us a very good idea of the hardware that it's packing. The original Yuphoria was launched earlier this year with a budget hardware on board and the specs sheet here appears to be significantly upgraded.

According to GFXBench, the Yuphoria comes with a 4.6-inch 1080p display, compared to the 5-inch 720p display on the predecessor.

Other hardware features mentioned in the benchmark listing include 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, the octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

In the optics department, the handset is said to be sporting a 13MP rear camera and a massive 8MP front camera. It's too early to ascertain whether this is the real deal as manufacturers usually test out multiple variants of upcoming smartphones.

Much like all other YU devices before this, the Yuphoria should also be running Cyanogen OS on board, so fans can expect the best software experience out of the device.

The YU Yuphoria will probably best priced at Rs 10,000 or under given the hardware on board. The sub-Rs 10,000 segment is heavily crowded with 1080p handsets now and the addition of the new Yuphoria will make things even better (or harder) for the customers.
